About Apex Wind ApS

Apex Wind is a wind turbine blade engineering consultancy based in Hinnerup, Denmark, registered as Apex Wind ApS (CVR 44156326). We work wherever the blades are: at wind farms, in factories and in laboratories, in Europe and worldwide.

We work exclusively on blades: how they are designed, how they are built, how they are tested and certified, and why they fail. We keep to that scope deliberately. Blades carry the largest unbudgeted cost risk in a wind farm, and they are the component least well served by general engineering review.

Apex Wind is independent of the turbine and blade manufacturers. No OEM has an ownership interest in the company, none is a partner, we are not on any OEM panel, and we receive no referral or commission payments. We do not sell repairs, retrofits or hardware, and we take no share of any work that follows from our findings. Manufacturers, owners, operators, insurers and service companies engage us on the same terms.

Blade work is often commissioned because a significant sum depends on the answer. These are the principles we work to, and you are welcome to hold us to them.

• We are independent of every turbine and blade manufacturer: no OEM ownership, no OEM partnership, no place on an OEM panel, and no referral or commission arrangement with one. Where an assessment concerns a manufacturer's work, that independence is what allows the conclusion to be relied on.
• We sell no repairs, retrofits or hardware, and we take no share of the work our findings lead to. We are paid for engineering, and only for engineering.
• We work for manufacturers, owners, operators, insurers and service companies alike, as clients on the same terms. Before accepting an engagement we disclose any existing client relationship, and any interest of our own, in a party whose work it would assess or whose product it could favour.
• We act for one side of a dispute. If both sides approach us on the same matter, we say so and decline the second instruction.
• Our reports state what the evidence supports, what it suggests, and what could not be determined, whether or not that is the answer that was hoped for.

Where a conflict cannot be managed, we decline the work and say why.
