The expert
Mohammed Fajar
WTG Blade Expert, founder of Apex Wind ApS
Mohammed Fajar is a wind turbine blade engineer with twelve years in the industry, covering design, manufacturing and service across the full blade lifecycle. He founded Apex Wind ApS in 2023.
Before founding Apex Wind he spent nine years in the industry: in structural design of production blades at LM Wind Power, in blade test systems, and in blade concepts at Vestas, where he was product owner for blade innovation and concepts. Over that time he has:
- worked with LM, GE and Vestas blade designs
- brought new technologies and materials into factory production
- led retrofit and cost-out programmes
- handled warranty cases on major turbine platforms
He acts as an independent technical expert on blade incidents, including on project-financed assets where owners and lenders need a technical position they can rely on. That work covers the forensic inspection of a failed blade, witnessing the laboratory analysis behind a root cause analysis, auditing the plant producing replacement blades, and inspecting those blades before installation.

Career

2025 to present
Crawler robots for internal blade inspection.
Founder and blade expert, Apex Wind ApS
2023 to present
Lead Specialist, Blades, Vestas
2020 to 2023
Blade product owner in innovation and concepts: design, manufacturing, testing and certification of blade concepts, and the business cases behind them. Earlier Specialist and Lead Engineer, Blades.
Technical Project Manager, wind test systems, R&D A/S
2019 to 2020
Technical lead for the HALT XL 25 MW blade test bench, including procurement of its cooling, electrical and crane systems.
Senior Engineer and Technical Project Leader, blade structural design, LM Wind Power
2014 to 2019
Structural design of production blades from 56 to 72 metres, methods and tools for structural calculation, testing and certification, and factory start-up support. Introduced certification by similarity, which certifies a blade variant without full-scale testing under defined conditions, cutting prototype and test time and cost.
